Is the BACS decree mandatory for hotels?
Yes. All tertiary buildings, including hotels, are concerned by the BACS decree. From January 2025, any heating/air conditioning system over 290 kW (approx. 100 rooms or more) must be equipped with a Building Automation and Control System (BACS), and this will extend to systems over 70 kW in 2027 (approx. 30 rooms or more).
What is the difference between your "light" BMS and a traditional BMS?
A "light" BMS is a simplified solution designed to meet BACS decree obligations without the complexity or costs of a traditional BMS. It allows control of essential equipment and generates the reports required by regulations, while being quick to install and easy to use.
